I'm Richard Beech, a British English teacher with more than 30 years' experience teaching students from different countries, backgrounds and levels.
Rather than following the same course for every student, I plan lessons around your current English, your reasons for learning and the areas in which you most need to improve.

We'll identify the areas that are preventing you from achieving a higher band score and work systematically on improving them: Writing and Speaking feedback, Reading and Listening strategies, exam technique and targeted practice.
Prepare for your Cambridge examination with confidence.
Individual preparation for B2 First, C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency. We'll work on both the English and the examination skills you need, with particular attention to your strengths and weaknesses.
Friendly, practical Spanish for adult beginners.
Learn the Spanish you need for travel, everyday conversation or simply for enjoyment, in relaxed one-to-one lessons with a teacher who understands what it's like to learn a language as an adult. I also offer Spanish GCSE preparation.

I've been teaching English for more than 30 years. During that time, I've taught students at many different levels and from many different countries, from learners developing their basic communication skills to advanced students preparing for demanding English examinations.
Today, I teach online, one-to-one, which means your lesson isn't divided between ten or fifteen students.
And because I also speak Spanish, I have a particularly good understanding of the difficulties Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking learners encounter when learning English.
