Individual lessons, from
I've spent more than 30 years teaching English to adults from many countries, and I speak Spanish myself.
That means I know from both sides of the desk what it's like to start a language from nothing: the frustration of not being able to say what you mean, the confusion when native speakers talk quickly, and the moment things finally begin to click.
Beginners' lessons are taught in English, with Spanish introduced gradually, so you always understand what is happening and why. There's no pressure and no embarrassment about mistakes. Mistakes are how you learn.
Lessons are one-to-one, so the pace is your pace and the content is chosen for you, not for a group.
We'll shape the lessons around why you want to learn Spanish.
Pronunciation, greetings, numbers, asking questions and the core grammar you need to build your first real sentences.
Hotels, restaurants, directions, shopping and transport, so you can manage confidently on holiday in Spain or Latin America.
Talking about yourself, your family, your work and your interests, and understanding the replies you get.
Getting your ear used to spoken Spanish at a natural speed, step by step.
Verbs, genders and tenses explained clearly in English, one piece at a time, with plenty of practice.
Regular, relaxed speaking practice from the very first lesson, so speaking Spanish starts to feel normal rather than frightening.
Individual, one-to-one preparation for the GCSE Spanish exam.
We'll work on all four papers, Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, at Foundation or Higher tier, following your exam board's specification and concentrating on the areas where marks are being lost.
Lessons combine the vocabulary and grammar the exam requires with regular speaking practice, feedback on written work and exam technique, so you go into each paper knowing exactly what is expected.

Lessons are online, one-to-one and 60 minutes long. Many beginners take one lesson a week and practise a little between lessons, but the frequency is up to you.
We talk about why you want to learn Spanish, what you'd like to be able to do, and whether my lessons are right for you.
Whether you know nothing at all or remember a little from school or holidays, we begin from where you are.
Each lesson is planned for you, with speaking practice every time and short, optional homework to keep the language fresh between lessons.
We review regularly, so you can see what you've learned and what comes next.
I offer a free 20-minute online consultation for prospective students.
It's a chance to talk about what you'd like to achieve and how lessons would work for you.
There's no obligation to book lessons afterwards.
